Tastes Like Chicken(hawk)

Ah, lots to pick from in the boneyard after watching the Republican Convention yesterday. While more and more elephants are moving their trunks away from Bush -- some continue to bang on the war drum as necessary for our safety. McCain, in particular thinks "they" will follow us "here". (I'll be watching our Sen. John Thune and how his position is -- as he and McCain are great buddies.)

In my opinion, the others on the stage really would be well advised to listen to Ron Paul. "They" - meaning extremist, killing types - are angered because "we" are over "there". Setting up camp for another 50 years, as Pres. Bush suggests, is only going to make things worse. I believe we're attacked here because of our arrogance and manuevers "there".

Anyway ... for those patriots that continue to justify the war and continue banging the war bongos, etc. I found a GREAT article that would enable us to help out with the surge. Patriots -- that can lead by example. The ChickenHawk Brigade. Read on, lots of suggested and very appropriate names. Show us the patriotism, Republican Party.

Mitt Romney's 5 lads -- all of service age, can show us that "vision for the 21st Century" that their Dad would like to lead us into.

Rumsfeld's son -- also of serving age.

Libby in the Dogpound

... unless Bush pardons him.

I'm sure that for Libby's lies, he'll be rewarded quite well for his dis-service to our own country. Wilson's quote is certainly quite revealing at where a cloud is hanging.

That is what is gnawing at me today -- and how I wish it were on the minds of most Americans. Sadly, I'm sure it's just that they don't have American Idol to turn to tonight to entertain themselves.

(SEVERAL, actually.)

First is this whole occupation of Iraq stuff. Grrrrrrr. His vision of our being there for 50 years and likening this to South Korea??? Iraq and S. Korea - totally different. Considering how many Americans want our troops home NOW, how many feel this war was a mistake to being with ... and he's setting up house/business there???

He is endangering and making our troops MORE of a target, making our homeland MORE of a target, and my children are stuck with the bill that he is creating --- and it's HUGE.

Let's go back in history and listen to a former President that at least was sickened by the kids killed at war. This President seems to shirk it off and give grieving mothers coins and jokes "Don't sell this on Ebay."
